We searched Jude and InHouse Builders out as we were specifically looking for a mountain modern home. Jude and his team have built some wonderful high quality homes which we admired and wanted a high attention to detail and a similar feel and look. We loved the final product and it’s our dream home. Jude’s very strong working relationship with our Architect, David Spear from Mountain Concepts was critical to the success of the project.

‘Dream Home’. Those were the first words I leaned in to whisper to my wife during our initial meeting with Jude at the then in-process home at Gray’s Crossing.
While we toured the site, I had an immediate and strong impression of the quality of Jude’s craftsmanship and his degree of organization. From the meticulously selected materials used inside and out down to the qualify of fit and finish on everything, it was clear that there was a rare attention to artful detail at work here. As the project progressed, I knew we were on a journey with someone we could trust and over the course of the build, that trust has proven itself to be well-placed.I imagined that the process would have been stressful and daunting, especially given that we live in the Bay Area, but that just wasn’t the case. In fact, working through the details of our home was more about fun and creative visualization while zeroing in on choices that Jude had already thoughtfully narrowed down for us. We felt involved in the design process to just the right degree to feel an emotional connection and pride in the end result without feeling stressed to make decisions without the right information, experience or know-how. Jude took the time to really get to know our sense of style and real-world purpose and I’m sure that made the process more fun and efficient for us all.
That sense of trust around a shared vision only grew stronger throughout the entire project, right through to the strong finish on final, impeccable details. Taking in our finished home now, everything feels bespoke and deeply thought-through, whether it’s the hand-crafted details of key design elements or the systems and infrastructure of the home that most will never really see or fully appreciate, despite my nagging efforts to show them off!

His training in green and environmentally friendly building techniques really shine. He helped us stay within budget and on track with the schedule. Jude was in communication every step of the way. We were current with the pulse of the project via phone, email, text messaging, and sending daily updates with photos, which was especially helpful as we often worked together from a distance. He is professional, honest, fair, and a great guy to work with, always putting our best interests and concerns for the project first. From the very beginning of the planning process, they nailed our vision and ideas for our house with an outstanding design, floor plan and use of materials. Throughout the construction, Jude was very communicative and extremely creative given our strict budget . His management of sub contractors, resourcefulness, ideas and solutions for exterior and interior finish materials including the mix of modern green construction materials and rustic reclaimed wood were fantastic and really made our house one of a kind .
